We use quality materials and practical layouts to maximize space and create bathrooms that are both elegant and easy to maintain.
From contemporary designs to timeless finishes, we focus on delivering bathrooms that improve your daily living experience while increasing the value of your home.
A bathroom is one of the most technical rooms in the house to renovate. In a small footprint you have plumbing, drainage, waterproofing, electrical, ventilation, tiling and joinery, and every trade has to happen in the right order. Hawk Services manages the whole process for you, so you deal with one licensed contractor instead of coordinating five or six separate trades.
We renovate main bathrooms, ensuites, powder rooms and laundries, from a straightforward update of tiles and fixtures through to a full bathroom renovation where the room is taken back to the frame. If you are working with a tight space, our guide to small bathroom makeover ideas covers layouts and finishes that make a compact room feel larger.
Most bathrooms take a few weeks once work starts, depending on size and the amount of plumbing being moved. Our article on how long a bathroom renovation takes explains each stage in more detail.
We regularly work across the Hornsby Shire and Ku-ring-gai areas. See our local pages for bathroom renovations in Hornsby, bathroom renovations in Asquith and bathroom renovations in St Ives, or check the full list of areas we serve.
Do I need a licensed builder for a bathroom renovation in NSW?
Yes. In NSW, residential building work valued over $5,000 (labour and materials) must be done by a licensed contractor, and plumbing and waterproofing must be done by appropriately licensed tradespeople. For work over $20,000, Home Building Compensation (HBC) insurance is also required.
What waterproofing is required?
Wet areas must be waterproofed to the National Construction Code and AS 3740. Our guide to bathroom waterproofing requirements in NSW explains what is needed in showers, floors and walls.
Can I keep using the rest of my home during the renovation?
Yes. We protect floors and access paths, keep dust to a minimum and clean up at the end of each day. If it is your only bathroom, we can talk through options to keep the downtime as short as possible.
