Full House Renovations in Sydney

A full house renovation is a big decision, and it needs a builder who can plan the whole project, not just individual rooms. Hawk Services manages complete home renovations from early planning and design through demolition, construction and final finishes, so your home is upgraded as one coordinated project rather than a series of separate jobs.

What a Full House Renovation Can Include

  • Layout redesign – opening up living areas, reconfiguring bedrooms or adding storage and en suites.
  • Structural work – wall removals, beams and framing, carried out with engineering input where required.
  • New kitchens and bathrooms – see our kitchen and bathroom renovation services.
  • Services upgrades – replacing old plumbing and updating electrical while the walls are open. Our article on when to replace ageing plumbing explains the warning signs.
  • Linings and finishes – gyprock, ceilings, cornices, doors, skirting, flooring and painting throughout.
  • Outdoor areas – balconies, decks and entries finished to match the new interior.

How We Manage a Full Renovation

  1. Brief and site inspection – we look at the condition of the house and understand your goals, timing and budget.
  2. Scope and quote – a detailed, itemised scope so you can compare options and stage the work if needed.
  3. Approvals – we help you understand whether council approval, engineering or certification is needed.
  4. Construction – trades are scheduled in the right sequence to avoid delays. Our guide to sequencing renovation trades shows why this matters.
  5. Handover – final inspection, defects list, clean and all compliance certificates.

Full House Renovation FAQs

Do I need to move out during a full renovation?
It depends on the scope. If the kitchen and bathrooms are all being replaced at once, moving out is often faster and safer. For staged work, many clients stay at home.

Is insurance required?
In NSW, Home Building Compensation (HBC) insurance is required for residential building work over $20,000, and the work must be done by a licensed contractor. Hawk Services holds NSW Contractor Licence No. 399670C.
